BLUES CRICKET ACADEMY

 

The Blues Cricket Academy offers individual, dual and group private cricket coaching sessions in Brisbane at the University of Queensland’s prestigious WEP Harris Oval. The Academy also offers international cricket tours and cricket clinics throughout the season.

At the Blues Cricket Academy we provide first-class cricket facilities as well as experienced Cricket Australia accredited coaches who focus on the basics of the game to produce adaptable, versatile and intelligent cricketers.

We welcome cricketers of all ages, genders and skill level.

Blues Academy coaching sessions are typically held during the school term from 6am – 8am as well as from 3pm – 8pm, Monday to Friday. We provide the following sessions; individual 45 min, individual 1 hour, dual 1 hour and group 1 hour. We also provide coaching sessions during school holidays.

    Upcoming Programs

    Senior Skills Clinic


    Tuesday 21 September to Thursday 23 September (3 days)
    9.00am to 3.00pm
    WEP Harris Oval, St Lucia
    Girls and boys aged 12 to 16 – Limited to 20 attendees

    Senior Skills Clinics are aimed at advanced girls and boys currently playing Stage 2 or Stage 3 within their local area. Players will develop specific areas of their game through advanced skill development and game scenario play. The clinic will consist of;

    • Advanced fielding, batting and bowling skills.
    • Individual coaching using video analysis.
    • Mental preparation and application.

    Junior Skills Clinic


    Tuesday 28 September to Thursday 30 September (3 days)
    9.00am to 3.00pm
    WEP Harris Oval, St Lucia
    Girls and boys aged 8 to 11 – Limited to 30 attendees

    Junior Skills Clinics are aimed at girls and boys currently playing Cricket Australia Master Blaster or Stage 1 cricket within their local area. Kids will learn the fundamentals of cricket and improve their skills in a fun and engaging environment. The clinic will consist of:

    • Basic skill development in the nets focusing on batting and bowling fundamentals.
    • Game awareness through on-field match scenarios.
    • Forming new friendships.
    • Plenty of fun and enjoyment.

    Payment in advance is required for all private coaching sessions and can be made online via the booking system above.

    Typically our coaching sessions are held Monday to Friday between 6am and 8am as well as 3pm and 8pm. For alternate times please contact us at [email protected]

    Cancellation Policy

    To cancel or reschedule your session we require at least 24 hours notice. Notice should be given to your coach by phone call or text message.

    Less than 24 hours notice or no-shows will incur full session fees.

    In the event of extenuating circumstances, contact the us to reschedule your session.
